Automotive Headliner Materials | High Performance Insulation & Soundproofing

Headliners are one of the most important components of a vehicles interior design. Not only do they provide aesthetic value, but headliners are vital to providing insulation, soundproofing, and a comfortable driving experience. Its no surprise, then, that many automakers and aftermarket parts producers are now turning to high performance automotive headliner materials to provide the best possible experience for their customers.

One of the most popular materials used in automotive headliners is Pres-On AH207. This is a specialized open-cell foam with laminated nylon that offers high durability and excellent acoustic properties. It is lightweight and breathable, and its self-adhesive backing makes for convenient installation. Pres-On AH207 is also highly effective at absorbing noise, making it an ideal choice for enhanced soundproofing and thermal insulation.

The AH207 by Pres-On is a 7 lb per cu ft density polyurethane foam. This lightweight and flexible material comes in wide sheets, custom CNC specification die cut shapes or in full size log rolls up to 60" (no PSA) or 54" (with PSA) wide and 100 foot lengths. This high density polyurethane is suitable for both cushioning and soundproofing applications. It also provides superior thermal insulation, while remaining breathable making it an excellent choice for automotive headliners, automotive trunk liners, and automotive door interiors.

So, if youre looking for the best headliner material available, look no further than AH207 polyurethane foam. These materials offer excellent thermal insulation, soundproofing, and cushioning, making for a comfortable and enjoyable driving experience.

Pres-On carries the AH207 in a standard black foam with a red nylon fabric on one side, we suggest using our high performance acrylic based pressure sensitive adhesive but do offer this material with rubber based and removable adhesives.
