The Flaw in Basic Lamination
Standard cold nip lamination relies entirely on physical pressure to deform a semi-solid, viscoelastic adhesive against a substrate. It is inherently limited.
Pres-On’s proprietary wet coat process is fundamentally different. We utilize liquid micro-penetration, deep chemical entanglement, and thermal hardening to create a bond that doesn't just stick to the surface—it becomes part of it.
The Four Pillars of Superior Anchoring
Our advanced oven-dried application outperforms cold roll processes at every molecular stage.
Superior "Wet-Out" & Mechanical Interlocking
Applied as a low-viscosity liquid, our adhesive effortlessly flows into microscopic pores and crevices. Unlike cold nip lamination, which forces a semi-solid viscoelastic adhesive against a surface, our liquid wet-coat achieves near-100% surface contact before permanently locking into microscopic valleys.
Deep Chemical "Bite" (Polymer Entanglement)
Our proprietary solvent blend actively engages the substrate, slightly softening the top molecular layer. This allows adhesive polymer chains to physically tangle with the substrate's chains before the oven drives the solvent away—creating a true chemical bond that cold films simply cannot achieve.
Heat-Activated Conformability
Our state-of-the-art drying ovens provide thermal energy that drastically increases polymer flexibility and mobility. This ensures the adhesive conforms deeply at a molecular level before setting, unlike unheated nip rollers that force weak bonds in a rigid, cold state.
Unyielding Final Cohesive Strength
Once through the oven, the adhesive chemically crosslinks and hardens into a solid film with immense internal strength. Standard pressure-sensitive cold laminations remain permanently viscoelastic and soft, making them highly vulnerable to shearing, peeling, and creeping over time.
Ready to Upgrade Your Product's Durability?
Partner with Pres-On for engineered adhesive solutions that never let go. The foam and sponge tape industry, particularly with industrial epdm foam tape and light duty neoprene sponge tape is littered with domestic and foreign converters offering low quality adhesive solutions on otherwise premium materials. If you are looking to upgrade your product, do not settle for an adhesive system that is going fail. Get the right product from start to finish, the Pres-On product, that can truly stand the test of time.
Pres-On's wet-coat, full 3 mil adhesive application ensures a thick gasket layer and creates maximum anchoring.

Application Notes:
Ensure bonding surfaces are well unified, clean, dry and free of dirt and oils. Apply firm and even pressure to improve adhesive-tosurface
contact. Allow proper temperature and time to enhance bond strength as adhesive flows onto the surface.
